My Adenomyosis Story When the doctor looked at my ultrasound and said I had a “bulky uterus” and had adenomyosis 8 years ago, I had no idea what she was talking about. She did not exactly explain what it was or what I could do about it. I was relieved though, that finally there was a name for the heavy bleeding, passing out in the bathroom from severe pelvic pain, and huge belly I had.
